Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim said that the BNP speaks by sticking its nose out of the cave. They have given the date of many movements in 13 years. Today, standing on the ground of Lohajong, I would like to say that Mirza Fakhrul said big things that your leader went to jail for the crime of killing orphans.

“You could not hold a big procession in Dhaka city. The Awami League cannot be brought down by a movement. The Awami League knows what the movement is. BNP’s condition is like a car without fitness. After a few days, the people of Bangladesh will not allow you to do politics in Bangladesh,” said the deputy minister.

The deputy minister made the comment while inaugurate the project titled 'Preservation of Left Bank of Padma River' at Haridia High School ground in Lohajang on Wednesday afternoon.

After the inauguration, Professor Sagufta Yasmin Emily, Member of Parliament for Munshiganj-2 constituency presided over the discussion organized by Water Development Board. Water Development Board Deputy Assistant Engineer Enamul Haque and Working Assistant Moinul Haque Bachchu spoke at the joint function

The deputy minister in his speech said that the work of the project should be completed on time keeping the quality standards right. The standard of the project should be such that river erosion will not occur in this area even in next 50 years.

The minister further said that the Padma bridge is being built over the iron ore. The Padma Bridge is seeing the light of day for the bravery of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. I can't tell you the date, but the Padma Bridge is going to be inaugurated in the last week of June.

He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, is the head of an exceptional government. She kept the whole of Bangladesh in her head as her family. She does what she needs to do.

Just as he sent satellites into space to make Bangladesh prosperous, so he cares about the poor and hard working people of Bangladesh, who give houses to those who do not have houses, those who need widow allowance, those who need old age allowance. Besides, Sheikh Hasina has no alternative in empowering women. What he has done for the development of women cannot be overstated. That is why mothers and sisters of Bangladesh should pray for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Meanwhile, after the inauguration of the left bank conservation project of Padma river, the locals are happy. People are recovering from the fear of losing their address and the fear of losing ground. People of 8 villages including Mulchar and Haiyarpar of Tongibari upazila and eight more villages of Louhjong upazila who are in fear of losing their houses have got a glimmer of hope. Families along the river were somehow spending sleepless nights. In the last 2/3 seasons, 9 villages were lost in Padma.

Later, the Deputy Minister for Water Resources inaugurated the project by dropping geo bags at Padma River Shamurbari Point and visited several places along the river banks.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Abdul Quader Mia, Additional Superintendent of Police Sumon Dev, Awami League Dhaka Metropolitan South Organizing Secretary Golam Sarwar Kabir, Pani Chief Engineer of Development Board Abdul Matin Sarkar, Executive Engineer of Munshiganj Water Development Board Ranendra Shankar Chakraborty, Louhjong Upazila Executive Officer Abdul Awal and others were present at the time.
