Blankets distributed among cold-stricken people at Patiya

After distributing winter clothes in five phases to North Bengal and different hilly areas of Chattogram division, Muslim Research Centre (MRC), an Islamic educational and humanitarian organisation, distributed blankets among destitute people at Patiya. To spread the feeling of warmth amongst the helpless poor people of Patiaupazila, Chattogram, the organisation distributed the blankets in the bone-chilling cold of Bengali Magh month. 

In the recently organized winter clothes distribution programme, Chairman of Kachuai Union Parishad No. 16 SM Inzamul Haque and former General Secretary of Chattogram Press Club Mohsin Chowdhury were present as the chief guest and special guest respectively.  Apart from them, Awami League General Secretary of local ward Syed Noor Manju; General Secretary of Swechchhasebak League Borhanuddin; Jubo League leader GulamQuader and Muhammad Forkanincluding other local dignitaries were present on the occasion. 

SM Inzamul Haque said, “The way Muslim Research Center has stood beside the distressed people during the shivering cold since beginning of Magh month, is exemplary for others to follow. We express our uncountable thanks and humble gratitude towards eminent journalist Ashaq Chowdhury and Founder of MRC Muhammad Rashid Al Mazid Khan Siddiqi Mamun for taking this humanitarian initiative. I hope MRC will continue such great activities in the days to come.”

Lauding MRC for distributing blankets during this crucial time, Mohsin Chowdhury, former General Secretary of Chattogram Press Club, said, “Since the beginning of winter, MRC has been distributing winter clothes among the helpless and marginalized people in different parts of the country. 

Being an extremely cold prone region, the organization started the distribution programfirst by distributing warm clothes in the northern districts. Consecutively, the organization has consistently promised to help the disadvantaged people of the country within its means. The Muslim Research Centre (MRC) is officially launched for conducting advanced research on the Qur'an and Hadith, developing Islamic institutions and standing by the people at risk. Since its inception, by using its own website and social media, the organization is providing useful information about Islam for everyone. 

The Muslim Research Center is carrying out various social activities forthe welfare of thesociety. Amid the ongoing Corona pandemic, the organization has also stood by the disadvantaged people including troubled Aleem of the society. Apart from providing scholarships to poor meritorious students, the Muslim Research Center is carrying out various social work as well as renovation of damaged old mosques and orphanages, proper Qur'an education, burial of dead bodies and providing Islamic advices.
