Water Resources Secretary Kabir Bin Anwar said that the impact on bio-diversity and society due to implementation of development activities must be considered.
“Any project must not be taken which threatens natural resources… No project would be fruitful that harms bio-diversity,” said Kabir, reports BSS.
The secretary came up with the comments while addressing a workshop held at CIRDAP auditorium in the capital, said a press release. Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) organised the programme.
Director General of BWDB Engr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman spoke at the programme, among others, with Additional DG (Planning) A M Aminul Haque in the chair.
