BGMEA donates 15 high flow nasal cannulas to DNCC dedicated Covid hospital

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers andExporters Association (BGMEA) donated emergency COVID-19 medical equipment and face masks to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) dedicated Covid-19 hospital to meet the health needs of patients and help save lives.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan handed over 15 German-made high flow nasal cannula with BiPAP and 50 thousand masks to DNCC Mayor Md. Atiqul Islam at a program held at the hospital on Wednesday, said a press release. 

BGMEA Vice President Md. Shahidullah Azim, Vice President (Finance) Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, Directors Md. Mohiuddin Rubel, Rajiv Chowdhury and Director of DNCC Covid-19 Hospital Brigadier General AKM Nasiruddin were present at today's handover ceremony.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan said that out of social responsibility BGMEA has stepped in to extend its support to the people in need during this difficult time of Covid-19 period. He urged all people to follow health safety measures and refrain from cunnecessary and non-urgent outings as much as possible to control the spread of Covid-19. In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic BGMEA has donated face masks to front liners including doctors, nurses, hospital workers, law enforcement agencies, journalists and many other emergency service providers.

DNCC Mayor Md. Atiqul Islam thanked BGMEA leaders for coming forward to donate the medical equipment and face masks to the hospital.
