Chapainawabganj Sub-branch of Border Family Welfare Samity (BFWS), a welfare organisation of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), distributed 200 blankets among the cold-hit destitute families of the district on Monday. 53 battalion of BGB organised a simple function on the occasion on the Bugole Government Primary School premises. Vice president of the Rajshahi sub-branch of the samity Rahima Khatun Rahi and general secretary of the Chapainawabganj sub-branch of the samity Nahida Yasmin Popy distributed the blankets as the chief guest and the special guest respectively.
During the distribution coordinator of the distribution programme and Deputy Commanding Officer of 53 battalion of BGB Major Shahed Ahmad was also present in the function.
