Bengal pays tribute to Tapas Pal

Celebrated Bengali actor and former All India Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal passed away on Tuesday morning after a cardiac arrest in Mumbai. The 61-year-old actor is survived by his wife and a daughter. He was awarded the Filmfare Award for Saheb (1981) He was also cast opposite Madhuri Dixit in his first Bollywood movie ‘Abodh’.

Hearing the news left renowned Bengali filmmakers, actors saddened and shocked. In fact, TMC leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also shared condolences with Pal's family after hearing the news of his sudden demise.
