A beat policing rally against rape and torture was held at Joypurhat Poura Community Center in Joypurhat on Monday with the slogan of ‘Your police are with you’.
Joypurhat Police Super Salam Kabir PPM addressed the rally as chief guest. The meeting was also addressed, among others, by mayor of Joypurhat Pourashabha Mostafazur Rahman Mostaque, Zila Parishad chairman Arifur Rahman Rocket, Awami League leader Professor Khaja Shamsul Alam, the president of Joypurhat Red Crescent Society also local AL leader Golam Hakkani, convenor of district community police, AL leader and prominent social activist Babu Nandalal Parsi, the president of Joypurhat Press Club Adv Nipenendranath Mondal PP
and general secretary K M Abdur Rahman Rane.
The program has been held in all the upazilas of the district. The participants of the rally called for all classes of people to come forward to fight against rape and violence by displaying posters, placards against rape and violence against women and children.
The chief guest Police Super Salam Kabir PPM, said the role of bit police will be effective in preventing child rape and torture of women. Inform bit police of any problems and Bangladesh Police is always on the side of the people with the highest integrity of the service and public welfare of the country.
