Beacon Cephalosporin begins journey

Beacon Pharmaceuticals Limited on Thursday began producing supreme quality lifesaving cephalosporin drugs from its dedicated standalone facility of Cephalosporin Plant.  Minister, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Mr. Zahid Maleque, MP inaugurated the operation of Beacon Cephalosporin Plant on Thursday. 

Beacon Pharmaceuticals Limited is the first manufacturer of anticancer drugs in Bangladesh.

Minister, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Zahid Maleque, MP inaugurated the operation of the plant. He expressed his good wishes for Beacon Cephalosporin Plant to provide high quality lifesaving Cephalosporin drugs to serve mankind both locally and globally.

Major General Md Mahbubur Rahman, Director General, Directorate General of Drug Administration, was also present in the inauguration ceremony and appreciated the high-tech facility of the plant.

Mohammad Ebadul Karim MP, Managing Director, Beacon Pharmaceuticals Limited highlighted the technological excellencies of Beacon Cephalosporin Plant to meet the latest demand of home & abroad through innovation in the arena of modern medicine industry.

"Beacon Pharma's manufacturing plant has the finest infrastructure & world class facilities," said a statement. Already the company has introduced 75 chemotherapeutic drugs, 20 bio-tech products and more than 200 generics drugs in Bangladesh.

Beacon's anticancer, biotech and general medicines are exported to 114 countries globally.

The best quality production will be ensured from this technologically advanced Cephalosporin Plant from its 69000 square feet operational area. It has individual and isolated production area, individual cepha & penem production floor, fully automated manufacturing facility for different pharmaceutical dosage forms, maintaining dedicated staff & employee regulations. 

The plant assembled most modern equipments and machinery. It has also effluent bio-waste treatment plants. The plant has been developed in compliance with the global regulatory requirements of WHO-cGMP, UK MHRA and European GMP under the supervision of renowned international consultants.
