The two countries are working as development partners, said outgoing Indian High Commissioner RevaGanguly Das.

She said there has been a lot of work between the two countries in the last few years. The enclave problem and the sea boundary dispute has been resolved.

She made the remarks after meeting Minister AQM MozammelHaque at the Liberation War Affairs Ministry on Thursday.

The Indian High Commissioner said, “Some people are deliberately spreading misleading propaganda to degrade relations between the two countries. Relations between the two countries are time-tested. Bangladesh-India relations are not so easy to break.”

The Indian High Commissioner lauded the unprecedented development of Bangladesh and the empowerment of women under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She requested for a Hindi translation of a book on the Liberation War.

During the meeting, India's friendly relations with Bangladesh, Bangladesh's liberation war and various bilateral issues were discussed. They hoped that Bangladesh-India relations would be further strengthened in the days to come.
