BCG detains 3 drug peddlers

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard on two separate drives detained three drug peddlers from Cox’s Bazar district on Thursday, says a press release issued by Bangladesh Coast Guard.
They detainees were identified as PaiPutun 37, hailed from Myanmar and Md Kamal Hossain 30, son of Islam, hailed from Keruntoli village of the upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Bangladesh Coast Guard of BCG Station Teknaf detained the duo from a commercial vessel, while they were smuggling drugs at Teknaf Landport area in Teknaf upazila.
At that time 45 bottles of Grand Royal Whisky, 864 can of Andaman Gold Bear, a mobile phone and the vessel which was used to drug trafficking.
On the other hand, BCG Station Hatia conducted a drive and detained a drug peddler with 161 pieces of contraband yaba pills from Budwala area of 9 No. Ward under Char King union of Hatia Police Station.
The detainee was identified as Saiful 32. Seized yaba pills and detainee were sent to Hatia Police Station.
