Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) members of Station Teknaf detained a Rohingya woman along with 9500 pieces of Yaba, in a raid at Nitong Para area under Teknaf Police Station, in the wee hour of Friday, says a press release issued by BCG. The detainee is identified as Sanoara Begum, 19, daughter of Md Laal Miah, resident of house no 18, LSSB block of Leda-24 camp.
The raid was conducted at a house in Nitong area of Teknaf based on secret information. Coast Guard East Zone Media Officer Lt. Shah Zia confirming the incident said, the woman admitted that she had been involved in the drug business for a long time and the seized Yaba was stocked in the house for trafficking.
