Bngladesh Coast Guard (BCG) and officials of Bidyanondo Foundation have distributed relief materials among distressed people in char areas of Munshiganj district. This relief distribution program took place at Gazaria Sadar, Ispahani Char, Vatibalaki and Char balaki area on Thursday, a press release said.
Bangladesh Coast Guard and Bidyanondo team distributed food items and relief among 200 distressed families in the area. Station Commander of Composite Station Padma, Lieutenant Ashmadul Islam was present at the program.
It is to be mentioned that Bidyanondo Foundation from March 31 distributed relief among 600 distressed families. Meanwhile, relief distribution program by BCG and Bidyanondo is ongoing in several coastal areas.
Coast Guard officials in the press release mentioned that such humanitarian work along with drives will be conducted frequently to curb the crime rates in the areas.
