Bangladesh table tennis team will begin their campaign in the South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship from today.
A total of 10 players from Bangladesh are participating in the three-day meet is taking place in Male, Maldives when the competition will be held with Under-15 and U-19 ages category.
Eying to win silver medal, Male bound Bangladesh junior TT team left Bangladesh on Saturday noon and after three hours transit in Colombo they reached Male at evening.
After a warm reception at Male Airport from the organisers of the South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship and having their dinner at their hotel went straight to practice room and the players had an hour long practice session at the hotel table tennis hall.
The youngsters, who did not have the practice schedule on Sunday morning had their last practice sessions at evening and will start their battle from today to win medals.
Meanwhile, the schedules of the competitions is yet to be announced, as Bangladesh team also yet to know their opponents in the opening match.
The enthusiastic junior and the cadet table tennis players, despite their main target to win silver, they will fight their heart and soul to win gold, as they expressed their expectations, according to a message from Male.
