‘Bangladesh earns global appreciation for women development’

Bangladesh continues to earn global appreciation for achieving commen­dable success in development of women and children and eradicating gender disparity in last eleven years, reports BSS. 

Officials, academics and public representatives made the observation at an orientation workshop held at Baruahat Business and Technical management College auditorium in Kawnia upazila in Rangpur on Thursday evening.

The District Information Office organised the event for leading personalities in the society under the fifth-phase of the Mass Communication Program for Development of Children and Women Project.

With Senior District Information Officer (DIO) Humayun Kobir in the chair, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Kawnia upazila Jasmine Nahar attended the workshop as the chief guest.

Moderated by Assistant Professor of the educational institution Kamrul Huda, it’s Principal Shah Md. Rezaul Islam and Chairman of local Kursha union Mohammad Hossain addressed the workshop as special guests.

Former Head of the Department of Bengali of Rangpur Begum Rokeya Government College Professor Mohammad Shah Alam and Kawnia Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Asif Ferdous were present as resource persons.
