Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology (BSMRSTU), Gopalganj has taken initiative to start the construction work of Bangabandhu's mural complex. The university administration wants to start the construction work of the mural within next three to four months on the occasion of Mujib Borsho.
Dr. AQM Mahbub Vice-Chancellor of BSMRSTU confirmed this and said, “the construction of the mural of Bangabandhu should have been completed long ago and it should have been inaugurated in the year of Mujib Borsho. Since that was not possible, we will try to start the construction of the mural within next three to four months."
Earlier, during the time of former VC Khandaker Nasiruddin, the university was shown the mural of Bangabandhu is in under construction for a long time without starting any construction work. Even on paper, the progress of the construction work was shown as 16.19% and the expenditure was shown as Tk 2.5 crore.
