BAF airlifts Covid-19 patient to Dhaka

Bangladesh Air Force brought COVID infected patient Dr. Md. Yunus, Rtd Additional Director of Directorate General of Health Services Dinajpur to the capital Dhaka on Wednesday, said ISPR.

Coronavirus infected patient Dr. Md. Yunus who was undergoing treatment at M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital in Dinajpur, was emergency transferred from Dinajpur to Dhaka by BAF MI-171SH helicopter after deteriorating his physical condition. Later, he was taken to Kuwait Maitry Hospital in the city for better treatment.

BAF has always been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) assistance in aid to civil power to protect coronavirus and continuing various activities following the policy published by the government to affirm its commitment to meet all emergency needs in a professional manner.

In line with this, MEDEVAC mission was carried out with the guidance of Chief of Air Staff of BAF.
