Former Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashraful plans to auction his favourite cricket bat on Thursday to raise funds for coronavirus affected people, report agencies.

Though the base price is yet to be decided it was learnt that Ashraful, who suffered a five-year ban for match-fixing and is yet to return to the national team, will put his bat to auction through which he earned the world record through becoming youngest Test centurion.

Earlier Ashraful has said to media that he is going to auction his two-centurion bat, one with which he became the youngest debutant Test player to get a Test century and the other one which he gets over his triumph over Australia in 2005 which eventually was his debut ODI century also.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic situation, cricketers are standing beside the underprivileged people as much as they want. All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has already auctioned his most dear bat of 2019 ICC World Cup for BDT 20 lakh a few days ago.

Another veteran player Mushfiqur Rahim announced to auction his beloved bat through which he  has scored his first double century against Sri Lanka.
