Ashiyan City plot owners’ meeting held

Ashiyan City Plot Owners Cooperative Society Limited, an organisation of the investors who failed to acquire possession of their plots of land purchased at Ashiyan City, a project of Ashiyan Land Development Limited, held a meeting recently.

The meeting held at a restaurant beside Hatirjheel lake in the capital was organized to  exchange views about the upcoming course of actions regarding the possession of their plots  and foster relation between the old and new members of the organisation. Plot owners from different parts of the country and abroad took part in the meeting in compliance with the health rules amid the virus pandemic situation. Minar Hasan, acting president of the association presided over the meeting. 

Registration of new members of the organization was also a purpose of the meeting. A number of deprived plot owners filled up prescribed  application form to get membership of the organisation. 

In the meeting, the would-be members were informed that Asian City Plot Owners Cooperative Society has received registration from the Cooperative Department of the Government of Bangladesh, and the organization was included as respondent number 12, 13 and 14 in the writ 

petition against the court verdict. 

The plot owners took part in spontaneous discussions and expressed their views by depicting their long-standing frustrations, deprivations and hardships.

At the end of the discussion, various plans were finalized on the basis of suggestions of the plot owners and analysis of the real situation.
