Seven organisations of Benapole Port users on Sunday formed a human chain in front of Benapole Customs House demanding arrest former ACC DD Ahsan Ali.
Benapole Customs Officers' Association also participated in the human chain. Leaders from human chain threatened to suspend import export activities through Benapole land port if Ahsan Ali is not arrested within the next seven days.
Benapole Customs C&F Agents Association, Importers & Exporters Association, Port Handling Workers Union, C&F Agents Employees Union, Truck Workers Union, Jhikargacha-Benapole Truck Owners Association and The Chittagong divisional Association took part in the human chain.
During the human chain, the import-export trade between the two countries was suspended through the Benapole Port.
The ACC former DD Ahsan Ali failed to deliver the Viagra Consignment from Benapole Port which was detained by the Customs Authority.
Ahsan Ali also threat and sent SMS and pressured the Commissioner to release the 31 Consignment of Imitation jewelry with out tax from Benapole Port Commissioner. As a result, the Commissioner of the Customs House failed to concentrate the Import export activities to Benapole.
A group of union revenue fraughters force the commission to release a 2.5 ton of viagra. They later launched false, allegation against the Benapole Custom House.
