Army’s relief distribution continues

As per order of Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed, Bangladesh Army continues humanitarian assistance across the country as part of combating the global pandemic COVID-19, said ISPR on Tuesday.

As part of these humanitarian task, on May 11, Rangpur Cantonment distributed relief goods among 300 poor and jobless people near cantonment and Kerainr Hat High School playground in Rangpur.

On the same day, Bogra Cantonment also distributed relief goods among 250 poor and distressed people at Birgram village near Bogra Cantonment area.

Earlier, Ramu Cantonment, Bogra Cantonment, Ghatail Shaheed Salahuddin Cantonment, Chittagong Cantonment, Cumilla Cantonment,Mirpur Cantonment and  Rangamati and Khagrachhari  Region of Bangladesh  Army provided  reliefs among 3,269 helpless families in the adjoining areas.

Among the relief items, there were rice, sugar, flour, potato, soap and salt.

These humanitarian assistance of the armed forces will continue as long as the coronavirus situation does not return to normal.
