Army chief designate Shafiuddin Ahmed attends sergeant Mukul’s funeral

Sergeant Mukul Hossain, a Bangladeshi Army personnel who was engaged in the Operation Kuwait Reconstruction (OKP-8), died of a brain hemorrhage on June 11 in Kuwait. 

His funeral prayers were held in the Dhaka Cantonment on Thursday, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Army Chief designate Lieutenant General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed and other  senior officers of Dhaka Cantonment were present at the janaza. After the janaza, the nominated army chief laid a wreath in honour of the late Sergeant Mukul Hossain.

Later, the body of the army personnel  was sent to his village home in Kishoreganj by an Army aviation helicopter. The burial of the deceased was completed there with full military dignity. The body of the late Army member arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on early Wednesday.
