Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged top arms peddler with three foreign-made pistols, a shooter gun, three magazines and seven bullets from Chowdala Bridge area under Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj on Monday, reports BSS.
The arrested was identified as Md. Abdus Samad, 30, of Dasimoni Kathal village under Gomostapur upazila of the district.
RAB said, being informed, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided the aforesaid area around 5.20pm and arrested Samad with the arms and ammunition.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Gomostapur thana with a case.
