Archery team flies to Baghdad

Bangladesh archers, who have been in a tight schedule for domestic and international competitions for last two months will continue their busy program up to May 11 they when had to leave Dhaka on Eid day, on May 03 at 11:05pm for Bagdad to participate in the Asia Cup World Ranking tournament 2022.     

An 18-member, including team officials and technical officials of Bangladesh Archery team left Bangladesh for Iraq to take part in the Asia Cup World Ranking tournament scheduled to be held in Bagdad from May 6 (tomorrow) May 11.  

It can be mentioned that the World Archery Asia for the first time selected highest five technical officials from Bangladesh to conduct the Asia Cup World Ranking tournament 2022 events in Iraq. Meanwhile, a six-member archery team returned home from Turkey last week after participating in the Archery World Cup Stage-1 was held in Antalya following their participation in an international tournament in Phuket, Thailand in March.

Bangladesh archers, though failed to do any remarkable result in Turkey, this time are expecting to do better results, as the archers and the officials expressed their high hope before their departure.

Roman Shana, the number one archer, who is the main man of the team to boost up the team for doing good result, said that they are hopeful to do better result in the tournament in Bagdad than they performed in the Archery World Cup Stage-1 was held in Antalya, Turkey.

Rajib Ahmed Chapal, general secretary of the Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF), coach Martine Fredrick also expressed their optimistic to do better result in Iraq.
