Anisul leaves for Vienna to join UNCAC conference

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq Sunday left here for Vienna, Austria to take part in10th session on review chapter of implementation of United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC). The conference is going to be held in Vienna from May 27 to 29, reports BSS.
Anisul Huq will head the Bangladesh delegation consisting senior officials from Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division, Anti-Corruption Commission, Bangladesh Bank and Vienna mission of Bangladesh. 

Bangladesh’s steps those were taken till now under UNCAC after becoming its member state in 2007 have been acclaimed by other member states. Bangladesh has already formulated Public Interest Related Information Disclosure (Protection) Act, 2011, Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009, Right to Information Act, 2009, Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2012, and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Act, 2012, as part of implantation of UNCAC.
