Newly appointed Director General (DG) of Islamic Foundation (IF), an organisation under Ministry of Religious Affairs, Anis Mahmud on Monday joined his office this morning.
Earlier, he served as the additional secretary of Land Ministry. He replaced Acing Director General of Islamic Foundation Md A Hamid Jamaddar. On January 30 last, the Ministry of Public Administration issued an order appointing Anis Mahmud as the new DG of the foundation on deputation. In 1991, Anis Mahmud joined administration (cadre) of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS).
Later, he served as Assistant Commissioner (land), UNO at different upazilas, ADC in Netrakona, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna, Joint Secretary of Youth and Sports Ministry and Additional Secretary of the Land Ministry.
