A local volunteer group ‘Amra Korbo Joy’ has set an example by cleaning a field in Fulbari Upazila after a football tournament. Members of the group on Sunday morning in Dinajpur cleaned the whole field by collecting food packets, plastic bottles, and other non-biodegradable objects from the field.
Reports stated that a football match at Phulbari Upazila College field was held on Thursday. As a good number of viewers came to watch the match, wastages and debris of various kinds were left on the field after the match was ended. The dilapidated condition of the field was shown at discussed on many social platforms. After being informed, a voluntary group, ‘Amra Korbo Joy’ stepped forward in this regard. Members of the organization on Sunday morning started to clean the field by wearing masks, gloves and other safety equipment. By noon, they cleaned the college campus and the field. Organizer Plabon Shuvo along with other group members as Parvej Shuvo, Abdur Rahim, Tanzid Safayet, Asad Sarkar, Sharmili Chhanda, Riya Gupta, Aminul Islam took part in the cleaning programme. Group members urged locals to help clean the society for environmental benefit after the cleaning programme.
