‘Ami O Rabindranath’ stages at Shilpakala

The first attempt at regular practice of Rabindranath's drama at the Bangladesh party level was 'Pranganamar'. It is a well-known fact in the theatre of Bangladesh today that the activities of this theatre troupe have given new life to the regular practice of Rabindra Natyachar in Bangladesh. Following the success of Rabindra Natyacharcha, the Natyadal Mancha of Pranganmar has brought the play 'Ami O Rabindranath' about Rabindranath.

The play is written and directed by NunaAfraz. The play will be staged on November 27 at 7 pm at the porikhon theatre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

NunaAfraz, Ananta Hira, Awal Reza, Ramiz Raju, Tauhid Biplob and SarayarSaikatwill act in the play 'Ami O Rabindranath'.

NunaAfraz has directed the play as well as planned the costumes and stage. Ramiz Raju in music planning and Tafiq Robin in Alaek planning.

It can be seen in the play that one day Athai goes to visit his friend's house in Shilaidahar, Kushtia. At one point, Athai went up the stairs alone. Suddenly Rabindranath himself appeared in front of Athayar. He urged Athai to visit the house. Athai forgets everything in the world including his friend. He started talking to Rabindranath. Different Rabindranaths of 29 years, 69 years, 21 years and 80 years appeared in front of Athai.

Athayar talks to Rabindranath about these four years, about the personal life of Rabindranath at that time and his sociability. And with each age of Rabindranath, different characters and ages change. Through Athaiya's conversations with Rabindranath of different ages, various aspects of Rabindranath's work and personal life have come up. The story of the play goes on like this.
