Amena Khatun’s Qulkhwani held

The Qulkhwani of Amena Khatun, wife of late Azizur Rahman, a retired joint secretary of the government, was held after Asr prayers at her Uttara residence on Saturday, reports BSS. 

Anisur Rahman, chief news editor (CNE) of Bangladesh Sangsad Sangstha (BSS), is the elder son of the deceased.

Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad, Anisur Rahman’s current and ex colleagues of BSS, relatives, well-wishers and admirers attended the Qulkhwani.

Amena Khatun, who had been suffering from heart ailments, breathed her last on Wednesday at the National Institute of the Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) Hospital at the age of 76.

She left behind two sons, one daughter and grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.

Amena Khatun was laid to eternal rest in city’s Azimpur graveyard after Zohr prayers on Thursday.
