Air Force rescues four students from hills

Bangladesh Air Force rescued four students trapped in inaccessible hill in Himchhari area of Cox's Bazar on Saturday, said an ISPR press release.

BAF also brought them to Cox's Bazar Airport by AW-139 search and rescue helicopter of BAF.

BAF has always been providing emergency assistance in dealing with any national crisis. BAF has been continuing its Emergency Air Transport and Medical Evacuation (MADAVAC) service with professionalism ensuring its commitment ‘In Aid to Civil Power’. In line with this, the search and rescue mission was conducted under the necessary direction of the Chief of Air Staff of BAF Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat. 

According to the ISPR, on Saturday morning four students came to visit and lost their way at Darianagar hill in Himchhari area of Cox's Bazar. Then they called 999 (National Emergency Service). Later, BAF Base Zahurul Haque from Chattogram formed a search and rescue team after being informed and conducted a search and rescue mission by BAF AW-139 search and rescue helicopter. 

The search and rescue helicopter reached Cox's Bazar and rescued four students. Later BAF brought them to Cox's Bazar Airport in coordination with BAF Base Sheikh Hasina in Cox's Bazar.
