Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics organised a rally and seminar to mark the beginning of Agricultural Census- 2019 in Gopalganj. The rally brought out from in front of Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office of Gopalganj. A seminar was held after the rally at the conference room of the DC office.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mokhlersur Rahman Sarkar presided over the seminar, while Md Rezaul Karim conducted it. Deputy Director of Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) in Gopalganj Ramesh Chandra Brahma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kazi Shahidul Islam, Additional Police Super Mohammad Sanowar Hossain (BPM), Municipal mayor Kazi Liakat Ali, District Agricultural Training officer Harlal Madhu, Zone-based officials, and electronic and print media personnel from district attended the event.
Gopalganj district statistics office deputy director and census coordinator Md Rezaul Karim said that 1065 tellersm 179 supervisors, 17 zone officers and 1 zone coordinator have been appointed in 1355 areas of the district. Gopalganj DC Mohammad Mokhlersur Rahman Sarkar called on all zone officers, supervisors and tellers to complete their work diligently at the inauguration of the census.
