On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Adha, special relief to the government has been distributed among the flood-affected people of Sundarganj upazila in Gaibandha. Ananda Group Managing Director and Upazila Awami League Senior Joint convener Afruja Bari inaugurated the program on Saturday morning.
On the day, rice pack of 10 KGs were distributed to 1200 poor families in different areas including Shantiram, Kanchibari, Chandipur and Belka.
Addressing on the occasion Afruja Bari said, “The present government is the government of the people. The government always stands by the poor people and the trend will remain continued. The government has taken this initiative so that no people are suffer from starvation. All the afflicted people will be brought under the special support program of the government in phases. "
Among others Sundarganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashraful Alam Sarkar Lebu, Upazila Awami League Joint Convener Rezaul Alam, Member Fahmida Bulbul Kakoli, Sechchasebok League leader Mehedi Hasan Rasel were also present on the occasion.
