Chowdhuri Abdullah Al-Mamun, newly appointed additional IG of Bangladesh Police, and Sheikh Muhammad Maruf Hasan, Rector of Bangladesh Police Staff College, paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
They paid the homage by placing wreaths at the mazar of Bangabandhu in Tungipara of Gopalganj on Friday noon.
After paying tributes, they along with others joined a special munajat, seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu as well as other martyrs of August 15.
Later, they signed the visitor’s book kept on the mazar premises.
Saidur Rahman Khan, Police Super of Gopalganj district; Mohammad Sanoar Hossain, Additional Police Super of the district; Ilias Sardar, Upazila Awami League President; Solaiman Biswas, Upazila Chairman; K M Enamul Kabir, Officer-in-charge of Tungipara Thana and other government officials were present there.
