Action against irregularities in livestock dev project: Minister

Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim on Thursday said strict action will be taken, if any irregularities are found in livestock and dairy development project.

He made the remarks while addressing a discussion meeting on National Mourning Day at Sheikh Hasina National Youth Development Institute in Savar.

The Minister said, “The news of irregularities in Livestock and dairy development project that has been published might be based on wrong information, Nevertheless, we are investigating into the matter and action will be taken if any irregularities are found”.

On other hand SM Rejaul Karim demanded to form a strong inquiry commission to bring all the information against the artisans behind the murder of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibor Rahman along with his family on August 15, 1975.

SM Rejaul Karim said, “I strongly demand an inquiry commission, which will bring all the information against the artisans behind Bangabandhu’s murder in light, and find out who were the beneficiary of the murder”.

The minister added that, the government is providing easy loan to the farmers across the country facing loss due to recent flood.

Enamur Rahman, state minister for Disaster Management and Relief, Jahid Hasan Russel, State minister for Youth and Sports, Akhter Hossain, Secretary of Youth and Sports, Rounak Mahmud, Secretary of Fisheries and livestock ministry were also present at the discussion program among others.
