Young director Arjunn Dutta has every reason to celebrate. His debut feature film ‘Abyakto’ is now an official selection at the 16th Indian Film Festival Stuttgart, 2019 and will be screened on July 19 competing for the Directors Vision Award and Audience Award. This festival will also see the screening of Srijit Mukherji’s ‘Uma’ and ‘Ek Je Chhilo Raja’.

The story of Abyakto chronicles the life of Indra through his growing years, from being a child to becoming a full grown man. As he grows up, a series of unexplained events that occur to him turns him into a man that he never thought would become.

‘Abyakto’ which will soon hit the theatres have already won so many festival laurels. The film stars Arpita Chatterjee, Adil Hussain, Anubhav Kanjilal, Anirban Ghosh and Kheya Chattopadhyay among others.

Anubhav who plays the son in Arjunn’s film admits ‘Abyakto’ has changed his life as an actor. “It’s the closest project I’ve ever been a part of a brilliantly written and directed film by Arjunn. And all the appreciation this film has been receiving is absolutely deserved. Arpita Chatterjee plays the role of my mother and she is magnificent and an extremely talented actor. I would request everyone to watch the film for her as you’ll remember her performance for a long time. Adil Hussain as we all know is one of the best actors in the country today and he is unbelievably humble. He knows how to give the co actor the required cooperation so that the co-artist can give best of his/her performance,” said the talented actor whose next is opposite Ishaa Saha in Anjan Kanjilal’s ‘Sahobashe’.
