Around 84 percent out of total 49,999 patients, who have been admitted to hospitals across the country, have returned home after recovery, reports BSS.
A total of 42,243 patients infected with the mosquito-borne disease have left hospitals so far, according to Health Crisis Management and Control Room of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) release on Friday.
It said that a total of 49,999 patients were diagnosed with dengue fever in different hospitals across the country from January 1 to August 16, this year. However, 40 people died from the disease.
A total of 7,716 patients are currently under treatment in different hospitals and clinics across the country. Of these 7,716 patients, 4,015 are taking treatments in different hospitals, clinics across Dhaka division. A total of 1,719 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the last 24 hours.
