80,000 Yaba pills recovered by BCG

On the basis of secret information, members of Bangladesh Coast Guard took position in a wooden boat at the jungle adjacent to Jaliya Island in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar on Thursday night. Suddenly two yaba smugglers, sensing the presence of Coast Guard   members, jumped from a tree into the water and tried to escape.

They were able to escape by throwing two polythene bags into the water when Coast Guard members were chasing them. 

The two bags were later searched and 60,000 pieces of yaba were recovered from the bangs. The recovered yaba has been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further action. 

Bangladesh Coast Guard has adopted zero tolerance policy and continues to conduct regular operations againt piracy, robbery, drug smuggling and illegal entrance in the coastal areas.
