7-day eye camp begins

Al-Bashar International Foundation, a UK-based voluntary organization, is providing free treatment to more than 5 thousand eye patients in Joypurhat. Local parliamentarian Ad Shamsul Alam Dudu inaugurated the weeklong medical treatment program organized by ‘NDC’, a local voluntary organization, in Khanjanpur area on Tuesday morning.

Patients will receive treatments like cataract operation, first aid, and lens placement along with counseling and free medicine in this medical camp. Among others, Zila Parishad Chairman, Arifur Rahman Rocket, District Civil Surgeon Dr. Shamsuddin, Sadar UZ Chairman SM Solaiman Ali were present at the time.

Dewan Samsuzzaman Saju, executive director of ‘NDC’ said an 80-member medical team consisting of leading eye specialists is participating in this humanitarian initiative.
