48 more patients died in Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the country during last 24 hours. With this number, the total death toll in Corona stands at 3,083 and the detection of 2,695 new cases of Coronavirus infection in the country during the same time totalling the number 234,189 so far, informed Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General ( Admin.) of the Department of Health during the routine online briefing on Coronavirus situation in the country on Thursday ( July-30).
Dr Nasima Sultana said samples of 12,667 were collected of which samples of 12,937 have been tested in 82 laboratories during the last 24 -hour. So far samples of 1,164,195 have been tested. She added, a total of 2,668 patients have been recovered from Covid-19 totalling 132,907 recoveries so far.
The Coronavirus was first detected in the country on March 8 this year and the first death in the virus was reported on March 18.
