The total death toll at the Corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital stands at 44 during the last two-day period (July-22, 23) till Friday morning.
On Friday and Thursday each, 22 patients died at the Corona unit of the hospital.
RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani informed of the dead during the last 24-hrs, 11 were from Rajshahi, four each from Chapainawabganj and Pabna, two from Natore and one from Naogaon. Of them 14 are males and eight are females. With today's death, the total number of deaths at the Corona unit of RMCH stands at 411 till July 23(July 1 -23).
He further informed a total of 61 new Corona patients have been admitted to the Corona unit and 62 were released after treatment during the last 24-hour period. Till Friday morning a total of 412 patients are under treatment at the Corona unit of the hospital.
RMCH sources further said Corona virus was detected among 22 patients after testing samples of 66 persons in two laboratories of the hospital on Thursday.
