A total of 40 Bangladesh Navy (BN) officers and sailors on Saturday received awards on the occasion of Armed Forces Day-2020 for their peacetime contributions and heroics in 2019, reports BSS.
Of them three officers were awarded “Nou Bahini Padak” (NBP), five received Oshamanno Sheba Padak (OSP), seven received Nou Gourob Padak (NGP), ten received Nou Utkorsho Padak (NUP) and ten were awarded Nau Parodorshita Padak (NPP).
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal has conferred medals to the naval personnel on behalf of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at an award giving ceremony at Jupiter Hall of Naval Headquarters at Banani here, said a press release.
Senior naval officers were also present at the programme.
