Members of Armed Police Battalion arrested four Rohingya refugees with a locally made firearms, one round of cartridge and a Ram Dao from Riakkyang area of Unchiprang under Teknaf upazila on Monday night, informed Tariqul Islam Tarique, Commander of 16 Armed Police Battalion.
Arrested Rohingyas have been identified as Hamidullah alias Gunia(25), Furkan(20), Ayas(21) and Nur Alam (20) of Raikhyang Rohingya camp.
Tariqul Islam Tarique further informed, acting on a tip-off, a team of APBN conducted an operation in front of the house of Jasim at Uttarpara of Raikkhyang and held four of the Rohingyas with fire-arms.
A case has been filed with Teknaf police station in this connection and arrested Rohingyas have been handed over to the Tenaf thana police.
