39 more die in Corona in the country during last 24-hour

39 more patients died of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the country during the last 24 hours. With this number, the total death toll in Corona stands at 3, 307 and the detection of 2,977 new cases of Coronavirus infection in the country during the same time totalling the number 249,651 so far, informed Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General ( Admin.) of the Department of Health during the routine online briefing on Coronavirus situation in the country on Wednesday (Aug-5). 

Dr Nasima Sultana said samples of 13,189 were collected and 12,708 samples have been tested in 82 laboratories during the last 24 -hour. So far samples of 1,215,124 have been tested.  She added,  a total of 2,074 patients have been recovered from Covid-19 during last 24-hour totalling 143,824 recoveries so far. 

The Coronavirus was first detected in the country on March 8 this year and the first death in the virus was reported on March 18.
