The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in 24 hours till 6:00 am on Saturday (September 23) arrested 38 people for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
On information, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas, seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, says a DMP statement issued on Saturday.
The law enforcers seized 6,863 pieces of Yaba tablets, 68.60kg of hemp, 29gm of heroin, and 75 bottles of phensedyl from their possessions, according to the statement.
According to the statement, 26 cases were filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
