As many as 36,077 people were inoculated with the Covid-19 jabs on Thursday raising the total number of the vaccine recipients to 2,77,15,932 in the division where a single case was diagnosed after testing 30 new samples during the 10 consecutive days since April 25 last.
Among the 36,077 dose of the jabs inoculated on the day, 2,399 were administered as the first dose, 16,803 as the second dose and 16,875 as the booster dose.
Health officials said the Covid-19 vaccination campaign continues in all eight districts of the division through inoculation of eligible citizens.
"Till Thursday, a total of 1,35,22,341 people got the first dose of Covid-19 jabs, and of them, 1,27,42,556 got the second dose and 14,51,035 got the booster dose," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul said.
"With the diagnosis of the new case, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,135 in the division," he said, adding that the total recovered patients remained steady at 62,782 while no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Friday.
The total number of casualties also remained steady at 1,284 in the division as no new death was reported during the last 24 hours, the health official mentioned.
