As locals demanded, a mobile court conducted a drive in a house at Araji Krishnapur village under Salandor union of Sadar upazila and arrested three women for antisocial work on Friday.
Meanwhile, mobile court sentenced three women to imprisonment for 3 months on charge of anti-social activities.
Executive Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdullah Al Mamun conducted the drive on Friday.
During drive, they detained Shathi Akhter, her daughter Orni Akhter Pakhi and a woman from Panchagar district named Mariam Begum for filthy work.
Hundreds of people participated in the human chain at that time. After ending the human chain, people submitted written complaints to deputy commissioner of Thakurgaon Dr KM Kamrujjaman Selim and Police Super Mohammad Monirujjaman Monir for stopping antisocial work.
