Three of a family were killed and three others injured as a bus hit a battery-run auto rickshaw in Kathalbari area on the Kurigram-Rangpur Highway of Sadar upazila this morning, reports BSS.
The deceased were identified as Mostafa, 35, a resident of Khamargram village of the upazila, his wife Joshna, 28, and his grandmother Amena, 75. The accident took place near Kathalbari College at about 11 am when a minibus hit the auto rickshaw from behind, leaving its six passengers injured, said police super M Muhibul Islam Khan. The injured were sent to Kurigram Sadar Hospital where three succumbed to their injuries.
