Savar upazila health administration received 3, 000 vials of Covid-19 vaccine in first phase on Thursday morning. Dr. Sayemul Huda, Upazila health and family planning officer of Savar confirmed the matter to the Bangladesh Post.
He said they received 3000 vials of COVID-19 vaccine, manufactured by Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. from the Directorate General of Health service, which were distributed by the civil surgeon of Dhaka district, besides they will get more 5827 vial in next, as the health authority allocated a total of 8827 vial for Savar upazila.
“We can vaccinate ten people using per vial of vaccine, the vaccination program will be start from next 7th February in 12 union parishad in this Upazila, and we already complete all the necessary preparation to start the program”, Dr. Sayem said.
“We will only vaccinate the registered people by Surokkha Apps or website, therefore people must have to register with the website addressed surokkha.gov.bd to get the dose,” he added.
