Two minor cousins drowned in a pond of Dhaligouranagar union in Lalmohan upazila in Bhola on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Md. Siam, 5, son of Yusuf Nabi, and Nur Hafez, 4, son of Yunus Nabi of Vote School area in Dhaligouranagar union of the upazila.
Family sources said the cousins fell into the pond in the afternoon while playing on its bank.
Later, locals spotted them floating in the water body and took them to the upazila health complex where on duty doctors declared them dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lalmohan Thana Mir Khairul Kabir confirmed the matter.
