Two activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s Dhaka University unit were arrested on the charge of snatching money from a sand-laden truck near High Court in Dhaka early Saturday. The detainees were identified as Al Amin, a second-year student of the Institute of Education and Research and Jubayer Ahmed Shanto, also a second-year student of the international relations department of the university. Both of them are residents of Ziaur Rahman Hall and followers of the university unit Chhatra League president Sanjit Chandra Das. Shahbagh police station officerin-charge Abul Hasan confirming the incident said that the accused two were produced before a court in a case filed by truck driver Hasan for allegedly snatching money from him. Dhaka University proctor AKM Golam Rabbani said he was informed of the incident and legal action would be taken against them
