A total of 2,76,522 students applied against 7,118 seats for the admission into Dhaka University (DU), reports BSS. Around 39 students will vie for each seat in first year honours courses under five units at the Dhaka University (DU) for 2019-20 academic session. According to the DU central admission office, a total of 88,976 admission-seekers will vie for 1,795 seats under “Ka” unit (science group), 45,013 students for 2,378 seats under “Kha” unit (arts group), 29,056 students for 1,250 seats under “Ga” unit (commerce group), 97,479 students for 1,560 seats under “Gha” unit (combined) and 15,998 students will compete for 135 seats under “Cha” unit.
The admission tests will begin on September 13 (Friday) with the “Ga” unit entry test. The admission test for “Ka” unit will be held on September 20 (Friday), “Kha” unit on September 21 (Saturday), “Gha” unit on September 27 (Friday). “Cha” unit entry test will be held on September 15 (general knowledge) and September 22 (drawing).
